Not very tourist friendly hotel

Location

TV controls not working. No tea or coffee provided. Unfriendly staff at Reception. No information was available about outdoor activities.Central air conditioning not very good. Wash basin was outside the bathroom. Charged 3 per cent commission for a debit card which is not the norm. Lobby not air conditioned. Will never return here

Need better PR skills

I paid more than double the price of what I saw online ,only to be given a room that was the same as half price .We had a late flight out next day and I asked could we have a 2 pm checkout .They said 1 pm was the latest ,otherwise it would be 200 baht extra ,despite countless rooms being unused .We left our bags in the lobby while we went out and came back at 2:15 and noticed our room was still the same and hadn’t been cleaned

This place was OK.

This place was OK. Rooms were pretty standard location considering it’s krabi town was good.. right opposite the night market which is handy.. also most transport you can get to other areas such as Ao Nang offer drop you at night market so ideal for that if you have a day out. Rooms looks converted from old flats maybe.. pretty decent couldn’t really fault them.. it’s just very budget and nothing that special

Bathrooms were tiny.. almost like just crammed into the corner of the room. Didn’t look like pics online - unrealistic pictures online. Got bitten a lot maybe due to gap at window? Also WiFi didn’t really work in our room.

Worth the money!

The room looked nice, the standard facilities were provided, the location was great, just a few steps away from the centre where food is available.

As it is located in the city, it could be noisy during night times, but not a problem for us.

Placement of hotel, stylish room.

Really big noise we heard in a room from the outside, even if windows were closed. Breakfast should be better in this hotel I think, 1st day we had to choose only from two kinds of ‘plates’ , 2nd day there was a buffet but full of really spicy Thai food. We love Thai food, but we think it’s not good for breakfast (especially if there are lots of tourists in a hotel). And last day we had to choose again from two kinds of ‘plates’.

Good location:

Good location: -right next to the river where you can take a small boat trip -in between two markets

The hotel should consider changing the breakfast menu. It’s not worth 150bath that I paid extra. Better buy something in the store!

I had a good stay.

I had a good stay. The hotel is close to everything. Weekend night market is just behind the hotel. And there’s another everyday market just in front of the hotel. Hot water and shower was very good. The bed was very hard. I had to put the duvet to get some padding for the bed. AC is not working perfectly. It’s an old system. Apart from these two problems everything else was perfect. Staff really helpful.

I liked the interiors of the room.

I liked the interiors of the room. It was clean and well organized.

I stayed at Ao Nang for a day before staying at this hotel and that area is way more happening than the area this hotel is in. This place is for people who prefer peaceful life, away from all the loud music and too much crowd.

Amazing hotel room in a great location with totally unfriendly staff!

We really enjoyed our stay in City Hotel Krabi and except one thing we did not like, I can say it could be the best choice for people coming to the town! Our room was newly furnished with two spacious beds and nice bathroom. The cleaness was perfect, every morning there were new towels and drinking waters prepared for us. We did not have any problem with the wifi connection, even you have to register daily, but will not pay any extra fees! Breakfast was rich and delicious! There is a choice if you prefer eggs with sausage and ham or yogur with cereals. The location of the hotel is good, opposite there is a small market where can buy fresh fruit and vegetable. Every weekend just around the corner there is a huge night market with live music! We checked it out and was perfect. Just right next to the hotel is a supermarket 7-Eleven with all you will need! Thank you for such a nice hotel room, we enjoyed!

We came our first day for a breakfast in the second floor. It was all good and delicious expect the behaviour of two young ladies preparing food and taking care of guests. I can not understand why these arogant and unfriendly faces we had to stand every morning. I used to work in the hotel branch for a long time and this is something what really getting me disapppointed! The staff seemed to be annoyed of taking care of us! They didn’t seem to be happy with their work and we felt like to eat quickly and run away. It was a big dissapointment when asked for a new toast and the answer was: No! I asked again, no? And the answer: No! Ok, bye bye!

Everything was great!

Booked a room at this hotel because it had an elevator. Even wrote an email about the need for my mother. Our room was unfortunately situated on a floor with no elevator which made it difficult for my mum to get to. Would have been great if we got this information beforehand.
